- Allow publishing and managing events from the web.
- Send communications related to the service (e.g., confirmations, alerts, or important notifications).
- Manage payments and control event publishing credits (for web users).
- Improve our services and ensure their security.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data based on the following legal grounds:
- Your explicit consent, when you decide to register, receive notifications, or send us your data.
- Performance of a contract, when you accept our terms of use by using the app or purchasing events.
- Legitimate interest, to maintain the security and operation of the service.
- Compliance with legal obligations, if required by a competent authority.
4. Category of Data
Depending on the case, we process:
- Identification data: name, email address
- Interaction data: saved events, favorite categories, and favorite location (optional).
- Technical data: approximate location, device identifier.
- Payment data (managed externally by Stripe, never directly by Fomo).
- Content data: information about the events you publish from the web.
5. Recipients
We only share your data with:
- Technical service providers (such as Firebase, Heroku, Stripe, Mailgun).
- Authorities if there is a legal obligation.
6. International Transfers
Some providers (such as Firebase or Mailgun) are in the U.S. or other countries. All of them offer adequate guarantees under the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
7. Retention Period
Your data is retained:
- While you actively use our services.
- Or until you request its deletion.
- And in any case, for the time necessary to comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax).
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data.
- Rectify it if it is incorrect.
- Request its deletion when it is no longer necessary.
- Limit or object to its processing.
- Request portability to another provider.
- Withdraw your consent at any time.
